Field Chooser - Inventory Data Page

The Inventory Data page contains a Field ChooserThe Field Chooser is a dialog window. Use the Field Chooser to add or remove optional fields to the page's grid., which allows you to add or remove optional fields from the page's grid. To open the Field Chooser:

1. Select the Field Chooser icon .
2. The Field Chooser appears. It contains the optional fields at the Inventory Data page.

3. The following fields are automatically selected in the Field Chooser. They appear in the Inventory Data page by default.
   1. Site
   2. Description
   3. Inv Qty
   4. Unit of Measure
   5. RFID Tag Number (available when the division uses RFID)

Adding or Removing Optional Fields in the Inventory Data Page Grid

Warning: The Field Chooser has many options. Be aware that the page grid size is limited. If you add all of the optional fields to the grid, the fields will be small and visibility difficult.

Certain fields at the Inventory Data page are optional You may add or remove an optional field from the page's grid via the Field Chooser. They include:

• Site: site where item location is found
• Parent Location: the location in which a sublocation and/or the physical location in which a container is found
• Description: description of item
• Inv Qty: mobile device (portable) inventory count
• Unit of Measure: item unit of measure, useful when the division uses multiple units of measure
• Serial Number: item serial number, useful when the division uses serial numbers
• RFID Tag Number: this field is only available when the division uses RFID; useful to view inventory by RFID tag number.
• Lot: item lot number, useful when the division uses lots
• Exp Date: item expiration date, useful when the division uses expiration dates
• Inventory Date: date item or asset was added to a location via an Inventory Add transaction
• Category: item category; useful when you want to sort items by category
• Model: item model; useful when you want to sort items by model
• Manufacturer: item manufacturer; useful when you want to sort items by manufacturer
• Alternate Number: alternate item number; useful when you want to sort by alternate item number
• Comment: item comment
• Unit Cost: unit cost of inventoried item by unit of measure

Required Fields

The following fields are REQUIRED at the Inventory Data page. They may NOT be removed from the page's grid and they are NOT part of the Field Chooser. They include:

• Location: place where item or asset inventory is located
• Item Number: item identifier
• Asset Number: asset identifier
• Qty: amount of item stored in a location

Adding or Removing Optional Fields in the Inventory Data Page Grid

To remove an optional field from the page, unmark the checkbox to the left of the field. Once removed, a field may be added back to the page by marking the checkbox to the left of the field.

To add or remove an optional field at this page via the Field Chooser refer to the steps below.

1. Select Inventory > Inventory Data from the navigation pane.
2. The Inventory Data page appears.
3. Select the Field Chooser icon.
4. The Field Chooser appears.

5. It contains the following checkbox selections:
   1. Site: Mark this checkbox to add this field to the page. The site is displayed. Unmark this checkbox to remove this field from the page.
   2. Parent Location: Mark this checkbox to add this field to the page. The parent location is displayed. Unmark this checkbox to remove this field from the page.
   3. Description: Mark this checkbox to add this field to the page. The item number description is displayed. Unmark this checkbox to remove this field from the page.
   4. Inv Qty: Mark this checkbox to add this field to the page. The inventory quantity is displayed. Unmark this checkbox to remove this field from the page.
   5. Unit of Measure: Mark this checkbox to add this field to the page. The unit of measure is displayed. Unmark this checkbox to remove this field from the page.
   6. Serial Number: Mark this checkbox to add this field to the page. The serial number is displayed. Unmark this checkbox to remove this field from the page.
   7. RFID Tag Number: This checkbox is only available when the division uses RFID. Mark this checkbox to add this field to the page. The RFID tag number is displayed. Unmark this checkbox to remove this field from the page.
   8. Lot: Mark this checkbox to add this field to the page. The lot is displayed. Unmark this checkbox to remove this field from the page.
   9. Exp Date: Mark this checkbox to add this field to the page. The expiration date is displayed. Unmark this checkbox to remove this field from the page.
   10. Inventory Date: Mark this checkbox to add this field to the page. The inventory date is displayed. Unmark this checkbox to remove this field from the page.
   11. Category: Mark this checkbox to add this field to the page. The category is displayed. Unmark this checkbox to remove this field from the page.
   12. Model: Mark this checkbox to add this field to the page. The model is displayed. Unmark this checkbox to remove this field from the page.
   13. Manufacturer: Mark this checkbox to add this field to the page. The manufacturer is displayed. Unmark this checkbox to remove this field from the page.
   14. Alternate Number: Mark this checkbox to add this field to the page. The alternate item number is displayed. Unmark this checkbox to remove this field from the page.
   15. Comment: Mark this checkbox to add this field to the page. The item comment is displayed. Unmark this checkbox to remove this field from the page.
   16. Unit Cost: Mark this checkbox to add this field to the page. The unit cost is displayed. Unmark this checkbox to remove this field from the page.
6. Click the Windows Close icon (X) in the top right corner of the Field Chooser to close it. You are returned to the Inventory Data page.
7. The fields displayed in the page’s grid are now based on the fields selected in the Field Chooser. They will remain in place until they are changed.
